Rakkaem chuckled. She thought the small fox quite amusing. She was a smigen bigger tahn a Dibbun. "Torture? Wot would a non-vermin pirate like me do wid torture? De ole bildin crubled on 'im! I's takin 'im to me boat. Let me alone, I'd kill ye if, numba one, ye was bigger, two, if'n ye wasn't a wee lassie!"

Atreyu as the picture of indignation, she had never been so insulted in her life. She was not sure wether to take the otter's words as insult or threat but she did know that it had wounded her pride greatly. She attempted to look even more imposing with her hackles raised and ears flattened back before adressing the otter again. "Torture and torment are not the same. Torment is a state of being while torture is an act. Though I find your disdain for my size to be most insulting, you pompus water hound." she said not masking the indignance in her voice and waiving her spear at the otter...

Ateryu gave a slight snort of disgust as she turned slightly away from the otter. It was clearly evident that she was still nursing her injured pride and almost to the point of sulking. She had yet to learn how to hide her feelings when they were hurt even though she had been mocked by the No-See-ems before this was different. It hurt worse than the taunts that they threw. "Yeah, right. No nice beast that I can think of would insult someone because of their size." she said sulkily. In truth, this was Atreyu's first time beyond the pine forests and her life there had been sheltered. The D'argenteus Clan kept things on very civil terms in the pine forest, scouting patrols made sure that no evil ever came to any travelers that ventured through there...

The black fox groaned and tried to stand up. THAt didn't work, and he collapsed back onto the otter. "Aa..aah! The pain? Wait, were am I??"

Sekar rembered everything, and in a misty voice said "In a castle...Crumbling rocks, in a small cavity...otter.....EYES! Small fox...otter....talk...EYES!" he shivered and mumbled uncomprehensibly.

Atreyu managed to put her injured pride aside for a moment and took a look at the black fox. "Looks like the poor fellow took a pretty good knock to the head." she nodded sagely, she had seen some of her clansmen appear very similar after taking a fall from the pines...

Rakkaem slumped down beside the copse. Her eyes drooped, but she stayed alert, not trusting the fox. The sun started setting, and was soon hidden behind the tall bushes and shrubs. She looked to the sky, and seeing a circling figure, possibly a goshawk or an osprey, she picked Sekar up and moved him under a mushroom shaped shrub. She pulled a gob of white cheese with celery and a slice of bread, and handed them to Sekar, who accepted them greatfully.

Seeing that the sun was setting, Atreyu figured it was time to find somewhere to bed down for the night. Glancing around she searched the moore lands for a safe place, she found it in a low cluster fo bushes not far away. Getting down low, Atreyu crawled under the low branches and dug out a bowl shaped pit in the dead fall under the bush where she could sleep. After pulling some rations from her pocket before she layed down on her stomach facing where the otter and the black fox were...

Sekar had recovered mostly after the time spent resting. "The eyes, no they weren't your eyes. I've never seen eyes like that....."

ooc: K' thanks. ^^
bic: Aife stepped carefully and peered through the dense scrub. The small badger blinked and scented the air, evening light brushed the top of her broad head, giving it a gentle orange hue under the lacy shadows of the bush. She saw that they were the same beasts she'd just seen run by, startling her, so she pushed the bushy scrub gently aside with one paw before stepping in as unobtrusively as possible. As the brush hissed and rustled behind her, she spoke warmly, holding a paw up in an unthreatening manner. "Good evening... I thought I caught sight of somebeast running by this way. Is everything alright? You looked as if you were being chased.."
