Name: Ritari
Gender: Female
Species: Weasel
Age: 18 seasons
Description: Ritari is easily mistaken for a boy at a distance, which she is quite okay with. She tends to wear her clothes loose and layered, and in darker shades. She doesn't view herself as either male or female, so she does not dress either way. She is short for her age, which is the cause for many jokes, and many of her rages. Though with time she has started to learn to keep a little more...calm. Her fur is russet, so if she spends too much time in the sun, it starts to take on a reddish tone. She has a small cream spotting on her chest, which is hidden by clothes. Her eyes are a bland light brown, nothing that would make her stand out.
She carries a sabre on her waist, old but obviously well cared for and still in good condition. She is very possesive of it, yet never says why. It's fairly obvious that it belonged to someone important to her. There is also a rather ornate dagger on the inside of her left boot, one strapped to her ribs and one on her thigh. She prefers to use her paws in battle, though.
Personality: Ritari can be described in one word : tomboy. She gains an unearthly thrill from a good fight. Her mother was quite the fighter herself, and Rit was her first child, so she was raised the only way her mother knew. The girl doesn't go around starting fights - a lady doesn't start fights - but given the chance to engage, she forgets her attempts at being a lady and will gladly accept a challenge. Around the time her mother finally settled down with one man was the time she tried to shove her daughter into the lady figure.
Rit, who was still young then, gladly agreed to try to become a lady like her mother never was. Yet she was old enough to retain her knowledge and love for sparring. She is constantly plagued from the desire to fight, and her continual tries to act like a lady. Her temper gets in the way of that. As with any young fighter, Rit has a terrible temper. It doesn't take much to send her into a fit, and so some beasts have made it into a game to see how many different fits they can send her into. She isn't afraid of speaking her mind, and very rarely speaks anything other.
The little weasel is hardly what you would call friendly or happy. Yes, she is often seen with a smile or smirk, but not because she brims with joy. She is merely content with life, and deals with people around her. She does not look for friends, but rather she seeks enemies. Not exactly the healthiest lifestyle, but Rit isn't exactly the healthiest weasel. She would rather walk the open road than the hidden ditch, but would rather shove a sword in your stomach than have to sit through idle chatter.
Background: Her mother (Dendro, if you want a name) was the captian of the Wind Crest, so Ritari spent her first 10 seasons out at sea. It was nothing unusual - there were battles, raids and cleaning. Due to the large amount of free time and her being a favorite of the crew, Rit learned all kinds of things - granted, everything dealt mostly with fighting styles.
Around the time Rit was greeting her 11th season, Dendro docked her vessel, took Rit and her brother and headed into the small seaside village to make a home for herself. Rit never understood why she gave up sea life, and watched the horizon mournfully every day to see if the Wind Crest would ever return. It didn't. 7 seasons later, she was fed up with her quiet life and set out for something more.
(Finally got it up! Now do I just start a thread?)
