Silas allowed Xylon some freedom of movement by moving the blade to his right side, still ready for a fight if it came to that. he didn't let out a remark, just waited for the wolf to do something. He finally spoke after a moment of thought. "Now I would advise you to go to wherever you're bound... be forwarned, though, that if you are indeed following us, we shall have to kill you next time our paths cross."

"Aye!" Belko shouted from the tree in agreement with his companion.

The wolf retracted a little, drawing to the side and getting up, his eyes never leaving the warrior's face as he sneered maliciously. "Oh, squirrel, but if we do meet again, I doubt you would be able to, now that it's only two on one," Xylon said, emphasizing that in the last confrontation, he had been outnumbered by four. "And there will only be you and your..." At this, the wolf turned his head, his features twisted in disgust. "Next-to-useless companion."

Belko chuckled at what he thought was a desperate and pointless insult. "Ye've seen wot I can do te yer hands haven't ye? " the bluetailed squirrel cried as he dropped from the tree and over to his companion and the crude wolf.

The wolf raised his left claw and held it vertically, revealing the fading red marks. "You would've been killed long before that if your friends hadn't come, if you remember, squirrel."

"Well, if you think yer so great, why didn't ye take on all of us, eh?" Silas half-mumbled. "Should be easy enough, if your opinions of us prove correct which I seriously doubt." He stepped a pace back, waiting for the wolf to reply, or at least get out of their way. He had a feeling that it was more than mere coincidence that they crossed paths yet again.

The mottled creature swiftly swung his head around to face the other squirrel, distaste evident. "Your arrogance blinds you, squirrel," he said. "And I have no doubt that in a head on battle between us, it would not be you who walks away."

Silas narrows his eyes at the wolf as he thinks It seems you still have an inflated opinion of yourself... He makes as if to grasp another bag of Reddust from his belt. "I'll let you know, wolf, that I faced and slayed beasts just as tough as you, just as strong... maybe even a little stronger. So before you make an assumption, think clearly, if at all."

OOC: Fyi, I'm going about this as if it were a non-canon one-time thing.
Xylon reared up, the muscles in his long legs adjusting. The lupine figure gave a short, contemptious roar, then turned and trode along the path going north, his eyes glaring.

Great... He's going north too... Silas watches the wolf stomp off into the mists, still gripping his sword, staring steel-eyed at the back of Xylon's head as it slowly was lost to sight.

Belko blinked at the wolf, and then at Silas. "Ye know mate, ye're both pretty arrogant if ye ask me," the bluetailed squirrel said jokingly. "Yer both a couple o braggin' blokes if ya ask me," he continued with a grin. "Ye see, as an honest and seasoned mercenary such as myself, I know that it ain't fer the best to speak so highly of yerself, even in an argument such as that," he finished this lecture by giving Silas a hearty slap on the back.

The wolf walked on, tall and weary, his pupils narrowed in slight bloodlust.

Silas reflected upon himself, and realized that Belko wasn't far off from the mark in his statement. "Yeah, well, at least he went away without a fight this time..." He sheathes his sword, wondering what to do next. If they continue North, they're bound to run into Xylon. If they stay, they're getting nowhere.
