A flash of fear crossed the snake's eyes, but he stood to face the bear all the same. "Nothing that should bother you. An otter and a babe along with him. They were caught in the rain, and I should think you would't throw a cub out to the cold?"

Taggle came out from where he was hiding, and stared up at the bear. The otterbabe had seen a bear before but only once.

The bear growled audibly, then sank back to the ground. "No...Arum does not throw out cubs." he snarled. "I warned you of this, snake.." He looked at the otter. "Not very often I see a riverdog 'round these parts...two, eh?" He laughed.

Gold Seam lifted himself up, and his glance shot from otter to otter to bear. "I should think we wouldn't stay long anyway.. This otter has buissiness here."

"how'd joo get ta be so hooj?" the otterbabe asked, dwarfed by the bear. The rain outside showed no sign of letting up.

Arum snarled. "I ate otters." Taint flashed a look of threat upon the bear, who bared his teeth at him, then smiled, showing off his ivory white teeth. "And what are you looking for, large riverdog? Hooded creatures, you say? Ghostly figures, those beasts."
