Bravespirit laughed coldly, without any mirth at all. "Do you believe me stupid brushtail?" She spat back, her knuckles turning white as she gripped her dirk even tighter, willing herself not to let her anger go and hurl it right then and there. Steady now girl, give the little one some time. The badger told herself. "I don't see any healing supplies with you." She commented, a bit more coolly this time. "How could you heal the babe with no supplies?" Bravespirit continued tauntingly, and a bit of the old joking spark returned to her eyes. But it was not the warm, friendly glint it had when she was with her brother, and it was cold and cruel, the way a slave master would look upon one of his slaves.

Bravespirit also jumped as the young otter backed into her, and the female nearly used her dirk when she realized who it was. "Hello mate." She whispered quietly, smiling faintly down at the otter. "I ain't gonna hurt ya', just be quiet and let me to the talkin'." The badger explained in the lowest tone of voice she could manage. "Well, you worthless piece of scum?" The badger growled, looking back up at her quarry through the leaves that kept her sheltered from view. Or at least she thought it did. Truth was, this was all talk, and Bravespirit could easily be slain by the three hardened bandits. Least I'll know I went doin' good. The badger thought, smiling grimly to herself.

(XD Well, she ain't exactly pretty either)
Bravespirit pointed a claw to the ground, indicating to the babe to stay where he was, then stepped out of the trees into full view. Again, the female chuckled mirthlessly. "You ain't exactly the type o' beast to be askin' that question mate. Now, what are ya' doin'? Why'd you harm the babe? Gimme a good reason an' I won't give you another mouth, right below your first one!" The badger said fiercely, twirling her dirk between her large claws and looking as coolly as possible at the fox. Bravespirit hoped, no, prayed her act would work, and the bandit would leave them alone. After all, she was in the line of fire, and could easily be struck down. Well, Loyalheart can fair on his own. Bravespirit thought.
(Do ya' mind not killin' her though? I just created her and don't want her to die in less then 5 posts XD)

"Sa I would not be makin' threat in tha situation yer in wot!" A young hare said standing a fair few feet behind the fox. Holding a bow in his hands. An arrow pointed right at the fox's head. "I may na' be a perfect shot. But I wager a 'ouse o' scoff I could take ya out from 'ere. So wot bus'ness you 'ave with yon Dibbun?" The hare demanded ready to fire off the arrow without a moments hesitation.

Bravespirit inwardly sighed with relief when the hare appeared. "I believe this is the question we're all pondering the answer to eh?" The badger kept up her act as best she could, but could not hide the ever so slight relaxation of her still-growing body. The dirk was now clutched less tightly, and the badger's knuckles regained their color. But the smoldering look in her dark eyes did not go away as she glared fiercely at the fox, the same look her Father, Swiftblade, had given the bandits that had threatened his wife and children. I'm tryin' Papa. The badger thought, remembering the things he had told her about protecting those weaker then herself. Bravespirit held her head high, trying her best to live up to her name.
(THANK you Tibb!)

((Please note tht Bloodcaller dropped me in the river before chasing back to the current field.))
Kroke, who had been waiting in the river for the dibbun water rat, had trudged through theforest back to where he heard their clatter. "Lousy, muddy, liddle..." he heard the barkings of a badger, and tensed up. "Stripeydog.." he breathed. he snuck around behind the badger, and entered the fray behind them. He unslung his pick, and hopped behind Bravespirit. "Hiyaaa, grrrapp!" he burbled. "Time to gives in, stripeydog!"
