A resounding CRACK! sounded from inside the ship. a couple of moments later, Arlan appeared over the rail of the ship, tossing down a haversack and a very peculiar walking stick. " watch-out below!" he said, leaping over the rail of the ship once more. He pulled out his humongus broadsword, in the process unknowilgly revealing more wounds on his back. He sheathed the sword, and turned back to brave and loyal. " had to get my haversack.. couldn't live without it." he said, allowing a rare smile.

"Huh, I don't get inta trouble I can't get out of." Bravespirit said importantly, holding her head high in an attempt to salvage her wounded pride. The female badger flinched slightly as her brother's large paw struck her shoulder, and she bared her teeth in mock fury. "Wot was that for? Ya' know that's me marked shoulder!" She said, pretending to sound hurt. Bravespirit was snapped from her playful teasing with her brother when something cracked aboard the ship, and her head snapped up to see if something had broken. She had just enough time to duck out of the way of the haversack. The young badger flinched at the sight of the other wounds on Arlan's back, but for a rare occasion kept her mouth shut.
Loyalheart snorted at his sister's comment. "Oh I can think o' plenty o' times when ya' were in a fix ya' wouldn't 'ave gotten out of if it weren't fer me." The male badger grunted. Again the young badger was forced to roll his eyes. "Perfect example. If ya' hadn't went and gotten yourself inta a fight ya' had no way of winnin' - " He was cut off by the CRACK of something aboard the ship, and he chuckled softly as his sister was forced to move out of the way. Loyalheart nodded slightly in agreement with Arlan. "We know 'ow that is. Though if ya' don't get yourself fixed up ya' might not live anyway." The young male commented observantly, his dark eyes serious as usual.

"Do you have any knowledge of the herbs of these parts?" arlan asked, seriously considering whether or not to shoulder his havvysack or drag it because of the wounds.

"Shush! I was only tryin' t' help the liddle otterbabe, not tryin' t' get inta trouble." Bravespirit snorted, temporarily forgetting Arlan was still there watching. This was not a rare thing, for the two to forget others were there and engage in a argument with their twin. The badger's dark eyes blinked once in surprise as he brother spoke, as she was not ready for him to say something so serious. But she quickly shrugged the feeling away, as she was used to her brother's dry, straight-to-the-point nature. Bravespirit lightly prodded her brother with a large claw in answer to Arlan's questions. "I already told ya', 'e's th' one who knows about 'erbs." The badger said, wondering why he had asked the question again.
"Aye, I know. I was teasin' Brave." Loyalheart said sincerely, bowing his striped head slightly, acknowledging the fact that for once, his sister had been trying to do something good. An' not tryin' t' drive me mad! He added silently to himself, shaking his striped head in slight annoyance. "Brave, show a little respect will ya'?" Loyalheart asked in frustration as she spoke to Arlan, raising his brows at his twin sister. "Wot she means is, ya' did already ask th' question, but that's fine. And aye, I should hope I do, as Brave isn't much 'elp when somebeast if hurt." The young male said, allowing a small smile to creep across his still-maturing features and glancing at his excitable twin.

Erebus walked throughout the ship looking around, it seemed familiar." I know this ship..." He walked into the captains quarters and pushed the bed away from the wall."Knew it." There it was, the symbol of the Rose Knights, not his order, this was the Metallic Rose. An elite force,"I wonder if this is their ship that he found or if he is indeed a Metallic Rose?" He turned as he heard a loud crack, his cape billowing behind him. He walked out of the cabin and looked down at Arlan and two other badgers,"Hmmm, this is turning out to be one interesting day." He looked around the deck of the ship once more and leaped over the edge. He landed by Arlan and stood up,"Arlan you wouldn't happen to be a Metallic Rose knight would you? Or did you find this ship?"
(I think it might be cool if Arlan is a Metallic Rose, but if not, your choice.)

Arlan looked at erebus with a light in his eyes. " indeed i am. the metallic rose order has some foundations in my fathers kingdom, and they were commisioned to build this ship. Finest one to ever sail the seas.. or.. it used to be. If it was any other ship, i'd be at the bottom of the sea with the hepanix right now." said Arlan.

He nodded and whipped out the Eye of Balor and held it infront of his face,"I am of the order of the Crimson Rose. We started the rose knights." He twirled his sword and sheathed it,"Were you or any of your people at the battle of Balor? I must say all the orders were there. The Crimson, Indigo, Cerulean, Metallic, Golden, and Silver Roses." He stood proud and strong remembering that battle, nearly twelve thousand knights against the twenty thousand vermin. It was glorious.

( um..ah.. should arlan have an eye of balor if he is in the order?.. and.. im assuming the battle was a long time ago.) " Yes my father took the best of our hares and otters there. I alas, was to young to go at the time."

(No, the Eye of Balor is the sword the King of Balor had, Erebus used it to kill him and took it as his spoils.)
"I too was too young, but my father made me go. I won the battle for us. We were losing badly but with the help of you father's hares, I know they were his for the Mettalic rose on their armor, helped me get to the throne room." He grunted,"I have to say, your hares are well trained they got me there with no casulties in their ranks or wounds." He nodded,"I got into the throne room and killed the king of Balor with his own sword."

" admirable..very admirable. As you can see these hares were not as experienced, and they did not fair as such against these sea vermin.. I slew the rest of the vermin though. " he said, ignoring his wounds, particularly the bleeding gashin his back, partially covered by his big sword. he asked erebus, " you.. saw my father? he never came back from that war.. our hares reported him dead..." ( arlans father wasnt the type to run away so assuming he's dead.)

"Maybe, there were many badgers in that war. Describe him a little, I might remember." He scratched behind his head and angled his head in a quizical fashion.

Arlan thought for a moment. " He looked alot like me, and had an aura of commanding respect. A real honor to know. Carried the biggest battle-axe you've ever seen, a scar on his right eye..." he trailed off.

Erebus thought for a moment,"Yeah, I saw him. He wasn't to gentle throwing me into that window. He helped me alot though." He nodded,"His axe was huge, but not the biggest I've seen."

Bravespirit listened to the older beasts talk with great interest, her small, round ears pricked as she listened, as she loved to listen to stories of battles and heroes and...well...you get the idea. The young female badger felt a bit forgotten though, and felt the need to say something. "Ya' got thrown inta a window? What'd ya' do that got him so mad at ya'?" She asked quizzically, raising her brows and not even trying to hide the spark of amusement in her dark eyes. The idea of a badger like Arlan hurling a rather large otter like Erebus into a window seemed comical to her, and with a immature creature as herself it was hard to hide when she thought something was funny.
Loyalheart too, was listening quietly to the older creatures discuss what seemed to be a war that had gone on long ago. He, on the other paw, unlike his sister, did not like to listen to stories such as this one. To much death, blood, hatred and broken lives came from wars in his mind, and the wise youngster was not the violent sort anyway. The young male gave his twin sister a frosty glare when she spoke up, one brow raised. "Hush Brave, let the older beasts talk." He grunted sternly, and surprised himself with how much he sounded like his Father Swiftblade after he spoke. Of course, Loyalheart's voice was a bit higher since he was still young, but it still sounded strange to him.

( no he is supposed to be dead. heads up i am linking arlan to brave and them.)
He died in that battle. That is all i know. I barely remember his name, though his face is painted in my mind well. When he died, my uncle, whom had been advisor, ingerited the throne. His name was.... Russano.Russano something. I was to young to remember...my mother didn't like to discuss it.." ( im thinking that russano could be like brave and loyals uncle?.. which was arlans father)
