"Arlan, I remember the last day I saw your father, he gave me an amulet to give you. He said to his son, I'm sure thats you." He turned and opened a small hidden pocket in his cloak and pulled out a fairly large bronze amulet fashioned in the shape of three eyes creating a sort of triangle with a ruby in the center of each eye. In the middle of the triangle was a glowing diamond, roughly cut to seem natural but still giving an elogant look."I don't know if its magical, if its rare, or even if its real jewels. But I know it was your father's."

((nice idea. Now to figure out what i c'n do with it....)
Arlan turned around slowly, looking at the amulet. Recognition dawned in his eyes. " thank you, very much." he said, accepting the amulet from him. He turned it over in his hands, and was silent for a moment. Hw thought reflectively. He had seen his father wear the amulet, had in fact never seen him take it off. As a young badger, he had questioned his father many times about it, only to recieve the answer, " you will know when the time is right." He in fact, had a small book on it, still in his possesion " borrowed" from his fathers library. Arlan's father may have been a great fighter, but he still enjoyed reading. Nothing on the back of the amulet. He turned it back over, staring into the diamond in its center, entranced.

Bravespirit was pleased that Loyalheart knew exactly where they should go next, and a spark of pride lit her dark eyes. The female badger quietly - for once - followed Arlan as he walked in the direction her twin had pointed out, but when Erebus spoke up she stopped and turned to see, even though she had not been addressed. Bravespirit looked in awe at the amulet, blinking a few times in surprise at it all. The female badger noticed the strange effect it seemed to have on her cousin, and she waved a large paw in front of his eyes. "'ello? Anybeast there?" Bravespirit asked teasingly, smiling lightly at her own joke and not even considering the others may not find it so amusing.
Loyalheart gave a slight, quiet nod of his striped head when thanked. Falling in step beside Bravespirit, the male badger too, was a bit surprised when Erebus spoke again. Loyalheart turned to look, and joined his twin in amazement. The male badger listened quietly to what the otter had to say, and could not help but feel a slight pang of jealously that his own Father had left him with nothing but memories. Loyalheart was snapped from his thoughts when his sister spoke, and rolling his dark eyes exasperatedly, took Bravespirit's wrist in his own large paw. "Come'on now sis, we ain't gonna git thar by standin' 'round." As he spoke the male badger virtually dragged his twin in the direction of the stream.
