Mossflower is a large forest, and if you are unfamilar with the area it is very easy to get lost" The mouse replied. "From what Mr Tawnus told me, you were in the southeastern part of the forest, which happens to be where the forest is at its largest. There are few paths in that part of the forest and few creatures go that way, we use the roads to the north and south." The mouse continued.

Garrick nodded, closing his eyes as he followed, sure of his paws. ".. Tawnus." He played with the feeling of the name in his mouth.. "He is a kind creature."

The wolf sigh. It was a story he had never told before, so he simply skimmed over the years.
".. Our clan, Siuil a run; a very old and powerful race... We are all that's left now, and my sister thinks we need to find a warmer, less hostile place to root our clan.. she also thinks we need to prove something, prove we are strong, that we aren't running from the cold, that it didn't drive us out.. She's too proud.." he sighed again, deeply.
"I was trained by my father in the ways of war, and he stressed the importance of recignizing defeat.. Not giving up, but seeing a wall and finding a way over it, instead of trying to claw through it." A laugh rattled deep in his throat. "She dosn't give up.."

"i'll be truthful with you," garrick said in a gravelly voice, " She hasn't said a word to me about it.. i hope she doesn't brood too much without my opinion though." He glanced again over his shoulder, but was outof sight of Mara's room.

"I woun't assume," the wolf replied greyly, "but if she makes a decision, I'll try to sway her. I prefer the mountains myself..." He offered a rare smile.

"Oh, yes.. Haydn is my younger brother.. in between Mara and I."His voice trailed off a little, "We had a disagreement, of sorts.. and he's been following us for about two years now, trying to convince us to let the Siuil a run die out, with what ever dignaty e have left.."

"I don't have to tell you she's a tense beast," he said with a light chuckle. "... she's not happy, and we've been in some spats. No one has been really hurt, physycally.. I mean, but I'm worried that won't be the case for long."
