Garrick fixed the mouse with a suspicious look, and answered in a slightly jaded voice, "Yes, she knows a fair bit of magic... why do you ask?"

I don't get the sense that she is one to use it.. in ways .. that are helpful to others" The mouse said choosing his words carefully.

Careful not to let his voice drift into aggrivation the wolf replied in a firm, yet calm and understanding tone. "If you are hinting at the thought of black magic, I won't deny it, but, would ask you to at least get to know her before you make assumptions... she wants to help both Haydn and I, and I believe that she is the strongest out of the three of us."

"she needs help mr. Garrick. The resident Seer of the abbey has told us that black magic corrupts the soul, and those who use it become more and more dependent upon it. Your sister is in grave peril mr Garrick, and only someone with great magical power can help her." the mouse said quietly. "That is the feeling I get."

A silence passed, Garrick thinking quietly. "... It isn't always black," he said finally. "Only when she's lost sight of our real goal, which, admittedly has been more often... of late." He added. "I don't know much about magic, I'm a warrior and I know what my job is, friend, and I protect them..." His gaze became distant, "I protect them the only way I know how, but I can't protect Haydn from Mara anyother way then to keep them apart, and I can't protect Mara from her magic. It's a helpless feeling." His tone seemed final, as if he hadn't fully

The wolf simply nodded, blinking his harlequin eyes pensively. "...When will he be coming this way?"

"Thank you, again," the wolf said, casting a fleeting glance around the room. His blue eye caught a thin silver light in the dimness. "And tell Mr Tawnus the same, if you come by him." Garrick added. "Good night."

Standing on the edge of the sands of the northeast wastes, Akeradies looked at the trees. Them he turned back towards the group he had brought with him, about twenty. "Remember. Woodlanders usually make the assumption that we're vermin after gold, silver, whatever. If we get caught in a jam by woodlanders only, do not draw your weapons. It will only raise their suspitions. Remember this also, we're only here for some herbs, and nothing else. I don't want to start unneccessary trouble with the locals." Turning back towards the trees, he led the group into Mossflower.
(That is where we are, right?)
