The mouse browsed through the armor. There was a fine variety in the store. He walked over to one complete suit. It wasn't chain mail but it was certainly light weight. After a moment looked at the armor he looked over at the otter. "How much for that?" He asked .

"Ah, good choice ye made 'ere, mate." The otter said, approaching the mouse. "A good mixture of scalemail and leather armour, leight weight and sturdy and to keep ye standing where others leave ye bleedin'. It'll be 480 gold for the full set, including helmet and shield."

Alright , let's see. The most powerful items I have are kept under lock and key, no sense to leaving them outso some mage can harm him or herself by trying to use them. Let's see: staffs" Here" He pulled out a thick ash staff embedded wth twoi red crystals and a yellow one. "This was orginally a Red-3 level staff from Sowarkard Abbey, the third red crystal was lost so I replaced it with the strongest crystal I had on me. Extremely powerful... " he shook his head. "Probably too powerful for you to control."

The crocodile let out an irritated sigh. "Then why are you showing it to me in the first place?" He asked the stoat irritated. It seems as though he had to be more specific to the stoat. "Look, just show me any robe, mage armour or staff you have for a reasonable price." Katarn-Revor said, crossing his arms.

'Alright, don't get tersty" the stoat said, pulling out another staff. "This is priced at 2000 coins, it is made of oak and comes with a sheath. It is rounded at the top and has a niche where you can put in a crystal.

"To expensive." Katarn-Revor said flatly.

Tibbarius thought over the price for a moment. Not much of a moment, but a moment none the less. He handed the otter the amount for the armour. He wasn't the best read, but counting was something he could do. The world seemed a lot stranger since he had left slavery. Although he had freedom now. Things were more complicated. At least he would soon be on the road again.

Then i'll drop the price to say 1500? It's a very nice staff.. it will serve you well, and it will more than pay for itself. Or is my price still too high?'

The crocodile nodded. "Do you have anything cheaper? I'm a little low on gold at the moment." After all, he still had to buy other supplies for both his and Tibbarius journey.

"Alright then, I'll drop it to 500, at which point I'm basically giving it away... What else do you need?"

The crocodile thought about it for a moment and decided, that 500 gold was a price he could live with. "Agreed. I'll take it. Do you have any mage robe or mage armour for a similar price?" He asked. He still had 1500 gold pieces left, which he would split for a new robe/armour, supplies and a small bundle of coins for emergencys.

"if you are low ion gold then I can find a cheap armor for you' the stoat replied, handing the staff to him. He switched the Ash staff to his right paw, and then moved to another shelf. "here" he said. "This armor came from the armory of Lord Satrius on the Disapearing Isles. " He pulled out a large suit of armor. It was a beautiful thing to behold, it was colored a light blue with a red star looking down over what looked to be a golden sea. 'This armor creates a invisible shield arounds its wearer, so that the wearer is protected from arrows and such. 400 coins' the stoat said, looking at Katarn.

The crocodile examined the armour more closely and licked his lips. The stoat was right. The armour was truly a piece of art. And quite a cheap one at that. "I'll take it." He said simply, fumbling with the leather pouch containing the gold. "Here, 900 gold for both the staff and the armour." He said, handing it towards the stoat. "A pleasure doing business with you." The crocodile added smiling, and took both the staff and the armour.
(A few fellow adventurers would be welcome for the coming journey. I thought about a thief-character, something like Robin Hood, or a monk-character (everybody was kung-fu fighting). Do you want to RP one of those, Stripetail?)
