"This 'Young beast' as you call me can track indeed." Wayra said. "Let me take one wild, out of the blue guess...you want me to find this fox?" He said having finished bandageing the old Squirrel's eye he began picking up papers and book covers from the floor.

Darrel nodded as best he could, then stood up and began picking up the place as well. He took a book from teh squirrel's paws, and stood up, a paw on Wayra's shoulder. "You'd best go now, they're only twenty minutes gone.. I'll pick up this vile mess they've left me..."

Wayra walked out the house, already clearly seeing the tracks. He tracked them until it was dusk, When he saw the smofe of a fire over head. By the time Wayra had been sitting in the bushes right next to the camp he remembered Jinn. He turned around and saw him standing behind Wayra. "Jinn can you do me a huge favor? Go climb that tree and stay very quiet..ok?" He asked the babe.

"Nothing...and if i happen to get slain or captured run back to Redwall as fast as you can." Wayra said as he went back to the bushes.

"Glad to see you care." Wayra said warmingly. "I Promise i won't get hurt.." He got up and grabbed Jinn off the trunk and put him up in the branches. "Stay there..okay?" He asked.

The hogbabe nodded. Though his eyes were welled with tears, he wouldn't let the squirrel see him cry. He shinied farther up in the branches, and sat very still, watching Wayra with big eyes. ~~~~~~~ Farther ahead, the weasel Slipner sat with his paws warming at the cook fire. A fish lay across it, bubbling and hissing. He sniffed the air, but all he smelled was warm fish. 'No bad Slip,' he thought, commending himself, 'not bad...' Had had two stoats, siblings by the look of it, sitting on his left, and to his right was a large, grizzled fox. They spoke uietly among themselves, the fox played with a small toy that had been taked from Darrel's home. He stared at it hard, trying to figure it out. The small wooden puzzle, required his full attention, and he was apt to let his side of the camp be breeched by anybeast...

Maybe i can scare them out.... Wayra though as he notched a arrow to his bow. If i can move fast enough maybe i can run through the t-....Scrtch that...maybe i can find out why he attacked Darrel... He thought Un-notching the arrow he shouldered the Bow and snuck in through the side of the camp. He hid soundly in an overhanging branch. The fox was currently playing with a toy, most likely stolen from Darrel's house. He put his bushy tail around the limb of the tree testing it stoutley before he lowered himself using his tail as a hold. He appered infront of Slipner's face. "No, no, no...your doing it all wrong, maybe you should've asked how to use it before you stole it from Darrel's..eh?" He said smiling in the fox's face.

The large fox, looked up from fiddling with the puzzle, and gave a howl of fear. For his brawn and fearsome looks, he had little backbone, and fell back beside the fire, casting the toy high into the air. "Slip! Ther's a Beastie in tha' tree over there!" Scrambling to his feet, the fox ran to cower behind his boss. The weasel, Slipner, leapt up, and advanced on Wayra, drawing his rusted cutlass. "Wot the 'ell do you want, rodent! Scarin' me mate and de'serbin' me dinner!"

"I want to know why you robbed Darrel...oh and if you even try to use that cutlass you'll find it hanging by it's handle in a tree..." Wayra said Growling menacingly. Keeping his Bow and Arrow slightly notched behind his back he stared into the Fox's eyes. "Well....?" He said waiting for the awnser.

The fox burst out laughing, holding his stomach, and leting his guard drop. "Ta steal 'is gold mate! that ol' tree swinger is rich as cream! Livin' out 'ere in the woods, 'e's asking ta git robbed." the fox thumbed himself in the chest. "I answered 'is call!"

Wayra, Having heard this, went back up in the tree and put his bow and arrow away. He drew his oak stave from behind his back. He dropped right behind the big fox and tappd him on his shoulder. The fox turned around stating dumbly. "Whdya want?" Wayra hit him stoutley with his stave. This having alerted the others Slipner said "What are ya fools waitin' for! Attack the beast" At this point Wayra was already whacking at a quite scrawny little rat, Unfortunatly he wasn't paying attention to the others and was disarmed and held on the ground. Wayra tried to bite one of hisd captors but everything went black suddendly.

(sorry for the wait))
Slipner and his band, after beating the squirrel within an inch of his life, bound Wayra's paws and as they broke camp, left him to be dragged along in bqack by teh large fox. The fox walked sowly, rubbing his head sulkily, he didn't go ouyt of his way to avoid dragging wayra over rocks and logs.
Jinn had watched from his vantage point in teh tree, and a few minutes after the band had left, he followed, so quietly and descretely, that they didn't have a chance of spotting him. the hogbabe had played hide and seek in the woodland many times, and despite his age, stood a fair chance against teh band of theiving idiots.

Mental note...6 on 1...not good odds.... Wayra thoughy as he was dragged on the ground. He was looking around as his back was being scrapping along the ground. He had open wounds in several places....a broken arm too most likely. Suppose i de-...JINN!!! Oh no...oh no...please someone tell me he went back to Redwall like i told him.. He though feeling helpless to do anything.
