As the ball flew through the air, Xylon swiftly swung around, throwing his knife accuratly and the orb lay on the ground, piecered. "But it won't explode unless I want it to."

Silas ducked, lying on the ground and covering his face as the bomb was pierced by the dagger. Who knew how it was set off? He waited for the inevitable Boom!, hoping Belko got clear enough to survive as well.

The small orange-like ball remained silent, some black material seeping through the cut but nothing else. Xylon continued to walk forward, feeling amusement at a body hitting the grass in an attempt to escape the blast that would never come.

Belko grinned and went at ease as Xylon defused the bomb. I knew you weren't that bad ye big softy! he thought to himself. Trying to act stern, Belko called out ot the wolf and asked "May ye least leave us with a name te call ye?"

The wolf remained silent, walking until there were two hills between him and the squirrels. Laying down, Xylon closed his eyes in an attempt to get some sleep. Maybe when he awoke, the squirrels would be gone.

"I don't think he'll bother..." Silas muttered. He wiped his sword off of the blood that remained from Xylon's spine and promptly sheathed it. Walking over to where he originally was, he picked up his backpack and shouldered it. "Might as well get going."

The relaxed wolf let in a sigh. Best to forget all this and just enjoy the rest of the sunny day. It wasn't often he came to the plains anyway; too open, too hot.

Belko turned and followed Silas, "Ya, guess it'd be best," he said with a sigh. "So where to me friend?" he said with only partial interest. He believed he would see the wolf again.
((He will right?lol. Xylon seems like the perfect antagonist for Silas's quest))))

Xylon's ears picked up the younger squirrel talk, but he payed no attention, letting the tendrils of dream embrace him.
OOC: I don't know how to take that, but okay. Tell me where you guys are going though, so I can plan for Xylon's separate path to eventually lead him there. *Plays Jaws music*

"We go north, although our destination is farther than I'd like it to be." He commented. "We're looking for a city, but not one with beasts in it. This..." He says, producing a scroll from a side pouch in his backpack "Says it's somewhere in the northern mountains. Haven't been able to translate the whole thing..." he unrolls it, waving a paw at the symbols that dotted the page. "Ol' South clan calligraphy..."

Belko peered at the map and scoffed slightly, "I don't know much'bout the clans Silas. Me family was far from the noble types," the bluetailed squirrel twitched as he examined the map further. "Hmm, I'll bet this can be done, but I wouldn't dout there'd be quite a bit o' vermins 'long the way,"
((Look's like we're gonna need a new thread Silas. Where will it be?))

((We could do it En route to the Mts, like in the moores, and make a short thread there, or skip it and go near it already, if nothing was to happen on the way there.))
"That won't be a problem." Silas put a paw on his swordhilt for emphasis. "By the way, how did you become a mercenary?" he asks.

((I think it'd be best to make a thread in the moores))
"Well, at first it just part time ye know, plenny o' ruffians in my 'ometown seekin' a hired blade. M' family was poor and I supported them alone, being the only fit child left," he said, the glow on his face leaving slightly. "I, uhh, was out on a rather long employment and when I came back they'd all... passed on," he said, fighting back tears. Then, to lighten the situation, he clapped Silas on the back and laughed. "Well that don't matter no more eh mate? Ah mean, nows I get ta meet kindbeasts like yeself!"
