Treasure"? You mean gold jewels, and others riches? no, I've not heard of this particular treasure, but I've heard tales of tresures of great size before..Most are myths" Stripetail said, sipping slowly from his cup. "What makes you syure that this is not a myth as well?

"I'd hope it not to be, I need it for... acquiring something.." Wayra trailed off, he didn't find any reason to hide anything from his campmates. But his quest to find his father just seemed... personal.

Stripetail looked at Wayra. "So you have personal reasons for finding it then? Most creatures looking for treasure do" he took another sip from his cup. "So where do you believe this treasure is hidden?

"I have an answer for that question." Eclipse stood up. Aaaah, finally, someone to help me on my little business... "As I have told you, I am a sword for hire. In one of my later jobs, I aquired this," More like took it off the body of a dead beast he drew out a small map and let it roll open. It was somekind of map. "Apperantly, this leads to a so called Treasure of Beneath, supposedly a treasure large enough to build Redwall three times out of pure gold, silver and bronze!"

Redstripe sat up,"That food I smell?" He looked over at the fire and looked at the bird,"Small little thing." he looked over at Stripetail and Eclipse,"Map and treasure eh? Thing about treasures are ye never know who else knows about it." He looked at the map, though he would never admit it his vision had dulled and the map was really just a big blur."Yep. Funny lookin map." He reached around and dug into his sack, he pulled out half a loaf of stale bread,"I got sum other things in there too, but thats gotta be a bout the freshest in there."

Wayra almost gaped at the discription of the treasure. Surely that must be enough.. He thought, ending his thoughts. He didn't want the seer to be reading into him that easily. He reached into his back, pulling out some October ale. "Here, just got it only a few days ago, Redwall." He didn't think that was directly hinting his past, but he couldn't tell.

"That;s quite a treasure" Stripetail said. This wasn't the biggest treasure he had ever heard off, but it was up there on the list. It would be enough for hiim , even if it was split 5 ways, for him to live comfortably for hundreds of seasons. Not that greed really appealed to him, it was a vice. But still, having a nice pile of money socked away would be nice.

In a manner of speaking, yes" Stripetail said. "since you need help finding it, we'll help. but in exchange. you must tell us everything you know about it. and please, try and keep it as factual as possible. most treasures are embriodered by legend and hearsay, whether due to the size scope, location, you name it. Which is why I said earlier that most tales of great treasure are myths."He gave the wolf an odd glance.

Redstripe grabbed the october ale,"Thank'e kindly mate." He set it down and rummaged through his pack again, pulling out a small knife,"Cut the bread with this." He cut the bread and handed the peices out."This treasure be in a cave or what not right? Well opefully them doors'el be big enough fer me to fit through." He grinned and took a bite out of his bread chunk.

I'm sure we'll be able to get you through, old friend" Stripetail said glancing at the aged badger, as he cut open the bread, stale though it looked, and smelled. "i'd cook it over the fire, it should taste better that way.." He said.

"The taste of the food has never been an issue with me Stripetail." He finished his chunk and looked at the group,"Now suposin we find this treasure, how we gonna split it?"

Evenly" stripetail replied. There are what, 5 of us here. So each of us gets a 5th. If the treasure is as large as it supposed to be, none of us will ever want for anything again in our lives. but treasures like this often bring out the worstr in creatures, jealousy, greed, passion. all the vices that great wealth stirs within us, we must resist."
