The wolf clapped a dark paw to his brow when he sighted another creature at the treeline. "By the four winds," he muttered, his green eyed gaze darting between the two. 'They have to be slavers,' he thought. He glanced again at the shackled creature behind him and decided it wouldn't do to wait any longer. His lip lifted in a slight snarl as he drew his blade, aggresively. the broad tip cut trailing patterns in the sand at his feet as he shouted across the open beach, the only other sound was a gull, wheeling and cawing over the lapping waves. "If you are here for the slave, you'll find it a harder task then you thought!"

The fox merely sat on the dune longer, then spoke. "Slaves? I'm not interested in a slave. Why would I be? Those slavers that had crashed on the rocks got quite a suprise before that. Now, if you don't mind, would you kindly put away your weapon?"

Stripetail heard the defiant challenge from the wolf. 'i am not a slaver, I despisde those creatures and would never want to be one" He strode across the beach and stopped in sight of the wolf. He noticed the shackled lizard and the fox sitting on a nearby dune. "Quite a gathering you have here" He said carelessly.

Haydn lowered his sword, a bar of sunlight sliding slowly up the steel. Still, he looked waryily at the two creatures. "Who are you then?" He asked jadedly, his voice hardly above a snarl. He thought that if by chance the beasts weren't friendly, that a good bluff might ward off a fight. Though he trained hard and loved the way of the sword, Haydn really never wanted to hurt anybeast..

"Lord Stripetail at your service" Stripetail replied calmly. In his paw he held a staff made of oak, which had a riose-colored crystal embedded into it. 'and there's no need to be hostile."

Sek-Raktaa remained silent the whole time, watching the events carefully. He was tensed. Quite tensed, if he was honest to himself. Tensed, and utterly confused.
He recognised neither of the strange pair. Did that mean, that they were no slavers at all? If so, then they certainly would have tried to subdue the wolf and him by now.
Maybe he was right. All the time in slave labour, completely exposed to the moods of his slavers... If all the experencies he had gained during that time had one effect, then it was the effect of making him paranoid.
Besides, what choice did he have? He was as good as defenseless, and judging that there isn't much he had to lose anyway, he decided to trust them. Or to at least try it.
"Lower your weapon." He muttered towards the wolf. "If they're really slavers, they would have attacked us by now. Let's at least give them a chance to explain themselves."

"to show you my sincerity, I will remove those shackles he has on.' Stripetail said.

Haydn sheathed his sword as he stepped out of the way for the squirrel, Lord Stripetail, to get at Sek-Rakta. "I'm sorry for te rocky welcome," he said, rubbing between his ears sheepishly. "I've become rather jaded because of my travels, after you have one run in with scum you never really welcome strangers the same way again."

No need to apologize. One cannot be too careful around strangers" Stripetail said as he put his paw on one of the shackles and muttered words under his breath. There was a loud bang and the shackle split in half and fell off. Stripetail then repeated the process with the other shackle and straightened up after the second shackle fell off.. "There you go." he said with a smile to Sek-raktaa.

"A wizard?," Haydn said, his expression was impressed. "My sister dabled in magic, but nothing... good or helpful. I've always prefered steel myself," he shrugged under the weight of his swordbelt and gave a smile.

Yes I am a wizard, the strongest in Aestorica" Stripetail replied. "So your sister dabbled in dark magic? Not a good thing. Black magic corrupts the mind and soul."

Sek-Raktaa couldn't resist a sigh of pleasure. It felt good... no, wonderful, to have these cursed slave bracers off. Rubbed and massaged his aching wrists, before looking up again.
"I guess I owe you something then." He said. "Thank you." He quickly added. Sek-Raktaa relished slightly, feeling his powers return to him. However, he was way to tired to try them out.
All he wanted right now, was to rest.

"You're welcome. you're a wizard yourself I see" Stripetail's eyes twinkled as he held up a part of the shackles. "These shackles must have kept your powers in check."

"You could say that." He replied. "Enchanted with one of these dreaded drain magicka spells. Put them on, and they zap your magicka as though it was nothing." Although his voice was calm, he shuddered at the thought.
"I am Sek-Raktaa, by the way." He said after a couple of moments and extended his claw.

ooc: sorry for the short reply, I have to go. I'll be back on later if I can. bic: The wolf glanced away at the ebbing tide, thinking briefly of his sister and brother. "There are two of you?" He laughed, "what have I gotten myself into.."
