(Please note that this RPG is for dinosaur characters only. You might want to portray this RPG playing in either an alternate dimension or a part/continent of the world of redwall never mentioned in the books. The starting point is Tynna, a medium sized city/fortress at the northern border of the saurian empire. I would like you to write a very small and basic character sheet to introduce your character. If you state your characters name, species, age and class, it will be enough.)
Name: Kaa-Seken Species: Velocyraptor Age: 18 Class: Mage
Kaa-Seken cursed soundly, as he hid behind a fairly large shield to avoid the incoming arrows. The young velocyraptor whimpered, feeling afraid, helpless and vulnerable. He was but a mere apprentice of the local mages guild, here in the city of Tynna, the mighty city-fortress guarding the empires borders in this part of the northern mountains. The saurian empire was wealthy and powerful, hence it wasn’t a surprise why some looked upon the empire with jealousy and hate.
Nobody knew exactly what had happened. One beautiful afternoon, a disturbing message had reached the count. The message of a fairly large army, advancing quickly towards Tynna. Despite the sudden surprise, count Tynna managed, although barely, to raise the cities defences in time to fend of the first attack which came the evening of the very same day. However, there was not enough time left to send a message to any of the local imperial legion fortresses. That was the end of the story.
Two days had passed since then, and the city had suffered heavily from the first, surprising blow. So far, Tynna’s attackers were solely composed of orcs, a race of large and muscular green furred mammals which, in a way, resemble now extinct primates in appearance. Orcs were fearsome creatures, stronger than tyrannosaurs and sometimes even stronger than some spinosaur. Had the count not reacted so fast, the city would have already fallen by now.
How the count managed to hold Tynna was close to a miracle. Orcs were very dangerous opponents when in close combat and so far, the city defenders were able to fend of most attacks from the city walls using their bows, crossbows and even magic. That is why Kaa-Seken was up here. In order to defend the city against their orcish invaders, the count needed anyone capable of fighting. It was only natural, that he took use of the mages guild. Usually, the mages guild didn’t interfered with the matters of the empire and kept on minding its own business. However, in this case, the future of Tynna was at stake and the local guildmaster knew that. That is why he commanded all the guild mages into battle. All the members of the local fighters guild was present as well, but with the fighters guild being a legal, law-abiding organisation of mercenaries, it wasn’t surprising either.
Kaa-Seken whimpered as he felt a couple of arrows piercing into the shield he used as cover. The very moment he considered to be safe for him, he dropped the heavy shield and left his cover. Now standing in full view, he scanned briefly the orc horde below, spotted a potential target and cast a spell. „Flash Bolt!“ He called out, creating a fist sized fire ball in his right claw and releasing it at his target. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Spell: Flash Bolt Magic School: Destruction Cause 20 points of fire damage on target ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The attack hit the already wounded orc squarely in the chest, killing him instantly. Kaa-Seken didn’t even had the time for joy over his small victory, as he instantly ducked down behind the safety of the massive ballustrades to avoid incoming arrows.

Kaa-Seken used the short moment to glance around at the other city defenders. The defenders were a mixed lot of saurians. Some of them the velocyraptor recognised to be members of the mages guild just like him. Others carried the armour of the city watch, while the rest, wearing armours in all kinds of shapes, sizes and colours, were unable to be identified. They were probably the members of the fighters guild, as well as other free lance mercenaries and maybe even a few brave citizens who didn't want to see their homes destroyed.
Once the Kaa-Seken felt it was safe enough, he quickly left his cover yet again and attacked. "Flash Bolt!" He called out, throwing the fist sized fire ball into a group of orcs. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Spell: Flash Bolt Magic School: Destruction Cause 20 points of fire damage on target ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The velocyraptor was unable to see where the flash bolt impacted, as he quickly dove back under cover again. However, the painful scream of an orc warrior told him enough. "Good going, kid." He heard a voice beside him and turned to see a female stegosaur in a full set of chainmal armour sitting beside him, bow and arrow at the ready.
The stegosaur smiled. "Don't give 'em a moment of peace." The female said before she, like a flash, left her cover, picked a target, released the arrow and dove quickly back under cover again. The action didn't took longer than a couple of seconds and both saurians were once again rewarded by orcish screams of pain.

Name: Enyo Soultaker Species: STYGIMOLOCH www.dinodictionary.com/dinos_spg3.asp#STYGIMOLOCHAge: 25 Class: Fighter/Necromancer Weapon: Great Sword
Enyo Soultaker crouched on a low hill top overlooking the beseiged city of Tynna, her trusted sowrd Death Bringer in hand. She knew that she was not a welcomed in the city, she had not been welcomed much of anywhere since she had taken up the black art of Necromancy. She had wandered the land as a shut out since a pestulance had killed her family. Although her pactice of Necromancy was not the only thing that earned her the scorn of other saurians. Part of it was her very appearance. Her skin was coloured in a frightful pattern of blacks, grays, greens and whites with a black band going across her eyes. In addition four great spikes crowned the back or her head while several smaller spikes were clustered on her forehead and snout. Enyo had played up her frightful appearance by draping herself in the tanned skins of any dead that she had come across while stringing their teeth and claws on cords which hung from her neck and belt. Also from her belt hung a small jar which she planned to use to keep the souls of others when she became powerful enough. Enyo was in deed a frightful sight. After having watched the seige of the city for a good while Enyo rose from the ground and began her approach. As she drew nearer she quickened her pace. Eventually she was heading towards the army's right flank at a dead run with her great sword at the ready. With a blood curdling shreik she slammed into the orcs swinging away with her sword...

Kaa-Seken had barely managed to cast another flash bolt into the horde of attacking hordes, when a loud, thundering noise echoed throughout the entire city.
"Run for cover!" The velocyraptor heard some other saurian say. Not long after, a dark shadow rushed past him and the velocyraptor looked up to see what the source for the shadow was. He didn't like what he saw.
The huge, burning boulder sailed through the skies leaving behind a trail of smoke. The burning boulder crashed violently into the city below, nearly destroying a completle house and causing additional damage in setting the house on fire.
A heavily muscled spinosaur, dressed in the armour of the count's guard captain cursed soundly. "We need to take these catapults out!" He barked his command towards the city defenders. "Hit them with all you got!"
Kaa-Seken merely nodded and left his cover for a short moment to take a glance at the orcish army besieging the city. There was a large catapult nearby, which probably fired the very boulder which hit the city. The orcs were already reloading it, drenching another boulder with oil and setting it on fire.
The velocyraptor ducked back under cover, clenching his teeth and feeling absolutely helpless in what was to come.

Enyo Soultaker was had embedded herself deep into the right flank of the attack on Tynna. A wicked light glimmered in her dark eyes as she took all comers without fear, she knew what awaited her on the otherside if she did die and it was nothing to fear. With both hands clasped tightly around the shark skin covered grip of her sword she lashed out any who came near. Slashing and cleaving, Enyo carved a path of death and destruction. Any orc that came near her soon had a taste of her blade as it either fell or stagered back wounded. Enyo smiled with fiendish glee as the warm blood of her opponents splattered on her. "Hahaha, you argh.." Enyou began but her words were cut short as she felt a sharp pain in her back above her shoulder. Glancing back she saw an orc standing there with a knife in hand, blood dripping from it. With a mighty yell Enyo swung her great sword around, cleanly parting the orc's head from his body. Making a slight retreat out of the churning fray, she made sure that there were no others sneaking up behind her. "Keepers of the world beyond, grant your servant your powers. Lend me your hell fire!" Enyo chanted as she invoked the dark powers that she served. As she watched writhing columns of purple and black flame sprouted sporaticly amongst the horde...

It was not for long until a few archers arrived, aiming their bows at the catapult and drawing their arrows. These arrows were different thoug, for each one had a small pouch attached to it. A small cord emitted from that very pouch and the archers lit it up. Each one now readied his or her arrow, took careful aim and then released it.
A few arrows hit the pair of catapults which threatened the city from the nearby hill. Others embedded themselves into the ground while others found a target in random orcs. At first, there was nothing special about the caused damage. Then however, quite suddenly, each of the pouches attached to the arrows exploded with a thunderous roar and devastating force.
The explosion was large enough to tear every target apart. It even caused additional damage in a form of fast spreading fire.
"Burning powder." Kaa-Seken noted, watching the scenery. He knew a couple of alchemists among the guild which possessed the knowledge. However, he wouldn't have expected them to have any fire salts, which was a prime ingredient, left. Maybe they stood a chance at all.

(Ah, here I am. Sorry about my activity of late.) Name: Skie Speices: Shuvuuio www.search4dinosaurs.com/jc_shuvuuia_sm.jpgAge: 17 Class: Novice Fighter Weapon: Unarmed combat, Arming Sword ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Skie kicked out savagely with his long legs opening up a grusome gash across the orc's chest and neck. He released the young shuvuuio with a scream, and skie fell away from the melee for a moment. Falling forward into his small hands, he pated for beath, then he looked around at the panic, clutching his small blade tightly. Arrows and fire, shouts, blood, death. His head spun. All around him was chaos. Pushing himself up onto his long hind legs, the young soldier started to run, dodging the thickest of the brawls with his long-legged stride. This was simply too much for him. He had to run.

"Ladders! Ladders!" A defender shouted from another part of the wall and several defenders cursed. Several orcs climbed up the ladders the city defenders tried to fend off and attacked. The stegosaur female at Kaa-Seken's side threw her bow aside, drew a longsword and rushed into battle.
"Defend the city! For glory! For honour! For the empire!" The captain shouted across the battle and Kaa-Seken swallowed nervously. It was dangerous enough to fight the orcs from the walls. But now in melee... He shook his head. He had no other choice. He had to fight, if he wanted to survive.
"Blazing spear!" The velocyraptor called, threwing a fist sized ball of fire into a nearby orc. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Spell: Balzing Spear Magic School: Destruction Cause 35 points of fire damage on target ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The orc cried out in pain as the spell hit him and focused his attention on the young velocyraptor who backed away in fear. One moment of distraction however was all a nearby tyrannosaur needed to cleave off the orc's head.
Kaa-Seken sighed in relief. The least thing he wanted to do was to get into a close combat. Suddenly however, he noticed a shadow towering above him and he turned just in time to see a huge, green furred hand coming at him.

Skie's leg suddey caught on something ad he fell hard, crackig his sleder chin on the stone road benieth him. A dying orc clug to his foot, twisting and clawing it it. Eyes wide, Skie kicked and clawed, then when the didn't work he brought his powerful jaws into play. he reached down and sank his razor teeth into the orc's shoulder and the he scrambled away. Skie only made it a few feet, watching over his shoulder, before he colided with Kaa-Seken and whatever trouble the velocyraptor was in.

Suddenly something crashed into Kaa-Seken's flank who lost his balance and fell, luckily away from the orc warrior's grasp. The velocyraptor moaned and shook his head to clear his mind. He then looked up only to stare into the face of an angry orc warrior, war sword at the ready.

Skie leapt up on shaky legs, looking down at Kaa-Seken in surprise. The orc stood just in front of the young shuvuuio and in panic, Skie drove his small blade into the orc's side. He felt the blade twisting between his foe's ribs and the sound of breaking greenbone was enough to make him release his hilt and recoil. Skie wretched as the orc fell, screaming and back curling in his death throes.

Enyo saw from where she stood that her summons had little effect on thining the horde's numbers. It seemed like where one orc fell another two were there to replace him. There seemed to be no end to the green tide that began to sweep over the walls of the city. Even though she was wounded and that she knew that she was unwelcomed in or even near the city, Enyo knew that something needed to be done. At that moment a thought dawned on her, to take on the leader of the horde. It's worth a try she thought to herself. But it was then that she realized that all of the orcs looked the same to her. Trotting back up to the hill top that she had first observed the attack from she attempted to get some idea of what to do...

Kaa-Shaken breathed in relief as he watched the orc fall. "Thank you." He said to the shuvuuio from in between gasps. "I thought for sure, that I was done for."

Skie, in his confusion shrugged off the raptor's thanks. "uh.. yes.. I.." he paused, looking down at his only weapon, stuck fast in the orc's now still body. Looking down at his weak, feathered forearms, he pictured himself tryig to free the blade. He nodded to Kaa-Shaken. "I'd ask nothig of you in return.. except maybe to lend a claw here.."

The raptor blinked. "Er... alright." He said, stepping up to the dead orc. He glanced around to ensure no orc was nearby and took a hold of the sword. "Ready?"
