Reddal made a mental note that this was definately an island. To leave he would need some form of transportation. "Very well then. That sounds good enough for me. Thank you for the assistance, I wouldn't have lasted much longer had I not spotted this place." The hare took a moment to inspect his surroundings.

' the fates were kind to you.' saminus nodded. The beach was damp with the lapping waves, and the falling rain added to it. 'It was the least i could do to help.' he said looking at the hare. "There's an ols hollow oak down that path over there, we stop there overnight when we're within a few hours journey from the village. for now, it will allow you to dry off and rest for a bit, and there probably will be a cache of food left over from the last time we stayed over." Saminus continued, making his way across the sand towards an opening in the woods.

"If you think it is best." Replied the hare humbly. The otter had obviously lived out here a long time, and knew the place well. It would be best to follow his advice, and the hare wasn't so proud that he couldn't listen to sense. Getting out of the cold and wet sounded good aswell. Without thinking to much about how well he knew the creature or the country, and began to follow his new companion.

'So while we're walking, Reddal, tell me a little bit about yourself. Whjere are you from, and where were you headed before coming here?' Saminus asked. He was curious about his newfound companion, and while they were on the way home, it would be nice to at least learn a little more about him.

"I was born a long way from here, east. I came here because..." He paused. How could he explain the desire deep within him to travel, to delve into the unknown? "I came here because I hadn't crossed this ocean before. I... like to travel." He finished eventually.

'Hmm. So do I. So do you have any relatives? Mother, father, siblings? I have a large family myself. 12 siblings, 8 boys, 4 girls, and the sibling rivalry is endless."Sanimus said with a grin. "I'm the 3rd oldest, so I usually come out on top in family squabbles.."

"I have no family that I know of... At least..." He paused for a moment. "I left 'em to go wandering, I'm not exactly sure where they are now." He continued to walk, leaving the topic closed.

"I'm sorry to hear that' Saminus said, as they came to a foirk in the trail. They were making good time, the oak was halfway down the left path of the fork. the trees here were large and thick, which shielded them from most of the rain, which dripped through in a thin mist.

Reddal continued to walk. He would have been content to finish the journey in silence, but he wanted to ask one question. "What's it like, your home and your family? You say you like travelling, are you content with where you sre right now?"

Its wonderful really. Even though my siblings get on my nerves, we would walk over hot coals for each other." Sanimus said. "it's the nature of family, I think, they drive you nuts, but thats because they love and care about you. I do like to travel, and my father and mother say when I'm full-grown, then I can go where I please. Thats a bit off though, and for now I have to listen to them, and follow them like a good child should."

OOC: You have a plan for this plotwise?
The hare fell silent then, remembering when his own travelling spirit flared up inside of him and he had to leave home, and wondering whether he could hear a slight touch of resentment in the young otters voice. He decided to complete the journey in silence.

OOC: Ok that's cool... In the meantime you reckon you could describe us arriving at the settlement? I'm a bit stuck...

( Sure thing) A couple hours passed and and they reached the oak where the vilagers had set up a little bolthole. There wasn't much in the hole, just a few bags of food, and enough room for a small group to camp overnight. But it was dry and warm, and even though the forest had screened off most of the rain, Sanimus was soaked nonetheless.

Reddal looked around. Outwardly his demeanour had not changed, though inside he was smiling, even though he felt mire than a little out of place. The place seemed full of friendly faces and the glowing warmth that was happiness. He had forgotten life could be like this.
