Species: Badger
Age:15 seasons ( 15 years)
Physical appearence: Tall and broad-shouldered, Arlan is an imposing sight. He is completley white, except for a grey stripe running down his muzzle and back. He wears a green homespun tunic. Arlan's face and body are littered with scars, the "medals" of his many battles. There is a crescent shaped scar on his right paw.
Personality: Arlan is generally happy-go-lucky on the outside, but on the inside his warriors blood has him constantly scanning the area for threats. He isn't called Arlan The Shield because he plays checkers. In battle, going up against this badger means almost certain death. If you don't believe me, try going up against his humongus girth and deadly broadsword.
Weapons: Arlan carries a two-handed broadsword that is huge, even by badger standards. The blade is deadly sharp, and cold as a winter blizzard. It was forged deep within the cold northlands, by masters of the forging trade. One swipe is enough to take the head off any vermin that mght get in his way. The sheath is also huge, almost covering half his back. It can act as a shield itself, providing protection from behind.
Job: Arlan's main job is to fight, and protect the weak. He has nearly impeccible judgement due to his warriors blood, but still makes mistakes. Once, he made a mistake in the heat of battle, and it cost him the lives of a great many hares. He is determined to never make that mistake again.
History: Arlan was raised in the cold, harsh northlands. His childhood was also harsh, owing to the constant threat of vermin attack and scarcity of food. When he finally came of age, he took a boat and twoscore hares, and set off for parts unknown. But, even on the open sea, there was no rest for the weary. After being attacked again and again by vermin raiders and corsairs, and being on the boat for so long, he set a course for land. Food was becoming scarce again. He has not reached mossflower...yet. ( how he gets to mossflower will be my first post.)
