"Aye..." the wolf nodded. He followed the ferret along to the place of meeting.
Walking at the back of the group, Heather stroked the sheathed blade at her side now and then.

It wasn't for long until anyone seated had either ale or wine to drink. The rich ferret took a heavy sip from his own wine, then started to talk. "You see, my family made its fortune with the shipping business, importing exotic goods and trade with them. Have you ever heard about the isle Ispano?" The group shook their heads, with the exception of Keel-Raniur who had an thoughful expression on her face. "I think ssso." She replied.
The ferret sighed. "Well, you see, Ispano is the greatest of an isle group and populated mostly by reptiles. In the past, they were known to kill and eat anyone unfortunate enough to encounter them, but trust me when I see: They changed. They evovled, creating their own kingdom with its own cities." The ferret paused a moment. "Over time however, the natives of Ispano made their fortune with their goods for they are known to be excellent artists and craftmens. They create fine weapons, armours, sculptures, paintings, clothes, books... All you could imagine."
"However, there is one glitch. Ispano is surrounded by thick, treacherous reefs which devoured already more than one ship." The ferret made a couple of gestures. "My family eventually managed to discouver a safe and fairly large path through the reef, and we've been trading with Ispano ever since. Needless to say, that the high quality of Ispano goods earned my family quite a fortune. By now, my family even belongs a small fleet of merchant ships, and our business has been successful ever since."
He took another sip of his wine. "However, the last two ships I send to Ispano for trade haven't returned. Both ships were commanded by highly experienced sailors and honestly, I doubt that they haven fallen victim to the reef or a storm. One maybe, but not both of them." He paused again and looked into the eyes of the adventurers. "Listen, I depend on the goods of Ispano to stay in business. Ispano goods are of a high quality, and hence high valuable. If I am unable to import Ispano goods, I'm ruined! That's why I need you for. Something about this is not right, and I need someone brave and cunning enough to go there to check it out for me. I have already lost two ships and their crews, I do not wish to risk any more. The risk is high, I know. But so is the payment. What do you say? Are you interested?"
(Alright, this is it. This is the big quest we'll take once Haydn's family quest is complete. If you accept the traders job, our ship, the seadragon, will be fully repaired and prepared for the journey to come. While that is happening, we finish Haydn's family quest. Then we return to the city and start the merchant quest.)

"We'll need time to repair the ssship and ressstore the crew anyway." Keel-Raniur noted. Tanlon however clapped his paws, a bright smile on his face. "Splendid! Wonderful! You may not regret your decission." He rose up to his feet, a pleasant smile on his face. "I'll make sure that the neccessary maps are brought to you. Of course I will cover all the costs it takes to repair your ship and hire new crewmembers. Portray as a bonus on my part. Ladies and gentlebeasts, have a nice day." With that, Tanlon Dandek bowed deeply and left.
"Well," Sek-Raktaa began, finishing his wine. "I'll take that concludes our next adventurer." He sighed and put the empty goblet back onto the table. Then he turned to Haydn. "We'll help you to find your family firssst though, don't worry." He smiled softly, as if saying 'what are friends for?'.

(Sounds like a plan. I'm lookin' forward to it. ) Haydn smiled distantly and cast his eyes down at the table. Running a claw around the rim of his cup, the wolf looked up and spoke. "It sounds like a solid plan.." He was goig to say more, but the words didn't come. His mind was a little too far in the future, and a little too afraid of what they were approaching. He sipped at his ale, hoping it would numb his mind. (I'll go tie off that 'lost and bitter' thread so Marra and Garrick are ready for them.)

(I've read your new posts. Looks good. although, you've turned Mara into a bit of a stereotypical villian imo. Surrounding her with vermin is a cliche)

(Yeah, I know. I was trying to show that things had changed, drive a wedge between her and Garrick. I don't plan on leaving it that way. She's going to drive them off and end up alone again as whatever climax there's going to be gets closer.
Something I was going to point out was that with cerridwens new layout, what are we going to do about Stripetail, Sek and Mara in a non-magic board?.. Any ideas?

( ask Ceridwen to move it here that's all. because magical stories go here. We can still Rp as magical creatures, as long as we post in this area. We can go anywhere in our stories, we simply have to post about it here)

(Why not continue in this thread to begin with? After all, once Haydn's family quest is finished, we would have to return to this RP anyway.)

So are we comtinuing the lost and bitter thread, pr simply moving on with this one? I've already asked Cerridwen to move the thread here so we could play it...

Sounds good to me... What do you say Sek? Cerridwen has moved the other thread to the otherside ao we can use magic there)

(Well, I wouldn't really mind. Although I would prefer playing to continue the "Lost and Bitter"-adventure in this thread. I wouldn't mind moving to the other thread and to return here later, but if we jump from this RP to another and then, later, back, it could become a little hard for a newcomer or fan to read. That is my concern.)
