Upon hearing this, all traces of weariness vanished from Sek-Raktaa's mind. He literally jumped up and looked hungrily at the food. "Excellent idea." He said, trying not to drool. Slightly embarassed at his behaviour, he looked down to the ground and shrugged. "I'm starving."

"Here you are," said the wolf, handing each beast a dented, tin bowl. "Nothing fancy, but I'm sure it will look a lot better with some potato and wild onion soup in it." He took the pot from the fire and then set a small bundle of half stale scones beside it. "these should still be ok, too," he muttered, jabbing one of the small breads with his ladel handle.

Stripetail gently took one of Haysdn's scones from the pot and pressed on it with his paw."These are pretty hard Haydn. How long have you had these?' he chuckled. "You could use them as weapons." He laughed.

"well," The wolf admitted, with a wry shrug. "Something .. like a week.. " He picked on up and whinged it over the heads of the two creatures and watched it sail like a frisbee. "Heh heh, that could be pretty fun," he muttered.

"White lie, maybe.." The wolf winked. His tail gave a bouncy wag, lifting a sigh of dust. "No one's gonna eat them anyway. No one sane at least."

If you haven't eaten fora while, you'll eat anything, even these scones" Stripetail replied. "At the cost of some of your teeth' he chuckled.

"good point," he nodded, gathering up the bag. "In my defence though," he laughed, "they weren't nearly so stale last time I had one."

"Potato and wild onion soup," the wolf repeated, glad to be done with the scones. "I should warn you, I'm not much of a cook, but it's food at any rate." Haydn scooped up a ladle full and offered it, dripping, to whome ever jump up first.
