Name: Mardha Species: Otter Age: No one is really sure exactly how old Mardha is, she’s just old.
Appearance: A lithe otter of average stature with a peculiar piebald coat. There are two large patches of brown across her back with the lower patch ending in a dark stripe down the middle of her tail. The upper one wraps around to her arms. Mardha is blind in one eye and walks with a slight limp. She carries a staff and a small cloth bundle slung around her shoulders.
History: For many seasons Mardha had been seen wandering the countryside. Her peculiar behavior typically kept others from keeping company with her long enough to learn her story. Many seasons back, Mardha had come down from the north after the corsair raiding season. She appeared muttering incoherently while hobbling down the road with a staff in one hand and a fabric wrapped bundle tied across her back. Some thought that she was a survivor of one of the raids but was left with her mind in tatters from whatever traumatic event that befell her.
Personality: Some would say that Mardha is mad. Slightly paranoid of the motives of others she often holds seemingly one sided conversations with unseen entities. She most frequently talks to one called “Cadoc”.

I suppose in a way, yes. Oddly that's also one of my favorite books and one of the few I got autographed. Hopefully I'll be able to get all of my Redwall books out of the moving box they've been sitting in for the past 5 years and finally onto a proper shelf. So much of our stuff is still in moving boxes.

I've got all my redwall books on a shelf in my room. they are basically in order, from Redwall onwards. Dont have every single Redwall book, but I have most of them. 17-18 I think.Pity Jacques didnt have Martin face his final battle before he died. Still maybe someday a new writer will pick up the Redwall banner and resume the series. Kinda like what Laurie King did with Sherlock Holmes.
