OOC: *Growls and kicks Ritari* Stupid weasels with their stupid feelings and their stupid crying. My wolf will be stuck in time for a few days because you're "too injured". Probably from walking. Or something else normal and not injury-prone. Random generic insult!

Hei saw the mouth coming and snapped his head back, hearing the audible click of Xylon's jaws and smelling the rank odor of his breath. Hei swung his Katana at the wolf's midsection, and at this distance, there was almost no way to miss.

Instead of dodging the sword, Xylon quickly reached out and clutched the hilt with his left paw, digging his claws in. With the squirrel trapped, he swung out with his other claw, almost certain of a hit.

Hei twisted his katana, sliding it out of the wolf's grasp and placing it in such a way that the wolf's paw would hit it before it would hit Hei himself.

The knuckles of Xylon's paw collided with the blade, and even when he had slowed the movement, the paw started to bleed. Keeping in close proximity with the squirrel, he tried to knee Hei in the stomach, and grabbed the hilt of the katana again.

Hei twisted the hilt away from the wolf's grasp, only to feel a clenched paw collide with his midsection and wind him. Hei swung hard and fast with his Katana, hoping to catch the wolf's arm while it was still extended.

OOC: ...His knee is a clenched paw?
Forgetting all other movements of his body, Xylon saw the katana and immediately retracted. However, the squirrel was a swift fighter, and the blade grazed his arm and the back of his paw. Baring his teeth in frusturation and pain, the wolf stood, clenching his paw as if it would stop some of the pain.

Hei stepped back, bracing himself and placing his feet in a T-Stance, the best position to move swiftly. He didn't say anything, but he was wearing, and he hoped dearly that the wolf was too.

Xylon took a moment to assess the situation. The squirrel was a bit more tired than he was, but the squirrel also had a weapon. Not good. He might just walk away now; no sense in them both getting killed.

Hei knew the glancing looked that the wolf was looking around with-he was assesing the situation. In this case, both were tired, but Hei had plenty of endurance; running away from hares continuously could do that to you. Hei tightened his grip on his katana, and began to inch towards his left.

Shaking his head to dislodge some leaf crumblings, Xylon ignored the squirrel and simply walked over to the thick oak, sitting at the trunk and leaning against the bark. He suddenly felt very tired, with the weight of both battles being forced upon him, not to mention the ache and pain of several wounds. His arms almost hurt to move, much less hit or grab something.

Hei also felt the pounding pains from his wounds, but it would not be till later that he felt the exhaustion- strange how his body's nervous ssystem worked. He sheathed his Katana, but kept his hand resting on the pommel. As he was already openly advertised, he just sat opposite the wolf, and asked, "Where did you learn to fight, wolf? Without a doubt, you're the best I've fought."

Still panting, Xylon answered as if they had never fought, with no hatred or contempt; if anything, respect. "I taught myself."
