OOC: huh?
"Looking for something, wolf?"

She shrugs agains, clearly getting antsy to do something. "He didn't aim, so I'm not too sure."

His paws snaking into the hidden sack, Xylon sneered when he touched a cold, metal handle. Then, slowly rising and pulling the weapon with him, the wolf held it in his left paw, kunai in his right.
It was a steel mace, hollowed and silvery. The chain was maybe 3ft long, and the ball from which spikes emitted spun in the cool breezes. Several of the pointed objects were encrusted in dried blood, a reminder of battles past. Raising the handle past his waist so the metal ball didn't touch the damp leaves, Xylon looked from the squirrel to the weasel. His intentions were clear.

As Ritari still refused to look at the wolf, even when a dull reflection from what the clouds didn't cover caught the corner of her eye. She waited on the squirrel to do something.

Seeing the weasel wasn't going to make a move, Xylon took the initiative. Letting the mace fly behind him, the wolf suddenly dashed toward Ritari and leaped, coming down almost on top of her. The mace and chain spiraled gracefully for a moment before it snapped at the weasel like jaws, drooling for prey.

[ ooc: Man, what a bipolar wolf. One moment he's sulking, the next he's tryin to keeeeell her! ]
Ignoring the wolf suddenly got harder the moment he decided to attack. She sighed from irritation and took a small leap backwards, head tilted at just the right angle to see the mace but not the wolf. In the time it would take Xylon to hit the ground - not much, true - she'd ducked over to the tree the wolf had just abandoned, looking at the squirrel. "Still think the beast isn't a threat?"

OOC: The FCC, kid. The FCC.
Fractionally turning to be able to see the weasel, his eyes wide in bloodlust, Xylon grinned madly. "Still think I have a heart, fool!?" Jumping up and sprinting at Ritari again, the wolf swung his mace from the right and thrust out his kunai. He did not think about anything except fighting at times; nothing mattered but to destroy the target.

[ ooc: Who you callin' kid? ]
The weasel snarled back, this time meeting his eyes, "You're just ignoring it, old one!" She ducked the mace by dropping to the forest floor, knowing there was a good chance that the ball would lose momentum and drop, too. She kicked out at his feet and rolled away, to the right, so if something did come after her, she'd avoid it.

OOC: *Hides* I really need Silas around...
Not even bothering to follow Ritari's pattern, Xylon stood his ground at a kick to his legs, barely grimacing. He carried the mace's sweeping motion around and to his left, just in case the weasel was still in range.

She slid into a crouch while the mace swung in the opposite direction, drawing her dagger and swiping at his calves, keeping an eye on the mace's path.

Although the wolf winced while his legs were struck again, he spun around the see Ritari crouched, ignoring the pain. I swung too high...Letting the mace weight loose momentum and drop, Xylon clenched his fist and punched downward onto the weasel.

Having already noted the possibility for the mace dropping, she scooted forward, letting the mace hit the ground behind her. In doing so, she forgot to check his other paw, and moved right into his punch. She yelped at the impact and clawed upwards at him, at his paw and at his stomach. The punch had landed square on her head, and while it wasn't enough to make her pass out, the pain was quite annoying.

Too close to use the mace effectively, the wolf dropped it, feeling a stinging pain on his bare stomach as he did. Looking down at the offending weasel, Xylon tried to knee her in the chest or face with his right leg. This was more in desperation than tactic, however, as the added pain on his bruises was aggravating.

Too close to assess his movements, she could not dodge his attack. She scrambled backwards with a growl, pressing at her chest to see how bad she'd bruise. Decently, she winced. As she scrambled backwards, he paw touched the mace. Eagerly, Ritari grabbed it and stood with a grin. Without aiming, she swung it.

In a surge of panic, Xylon saw the chain curl in the air, heading for him. Instinctively, the wolf held his left arm nearly vertical, in an attempt to block the weapon.
The chain wrapped around his arm once, but that was enough. The spiked ball smashed into his gray paw, and for several moments Xylon stood there, looking at the streaming blood and shocked at the pain. But then his warrior mind kicked in. Change everything to your advantage. Twisting the kunai so it faced upward in his other paw, the wolf held it upward, ready to throw the knife at Ritari. She was holding the other end of the mace, so for now, he had caught her. "Give up, weasel?"
