We usually don't have meat, but rather fish, plants and other foods. But I'm sure that if you ask for meat, that we may have some in supply, for travelers who like meat. Most dwellers here don't eat meat, they prefer fish. But if you are hungry, well you've come to the right place. Dinner is always 'all you can eat" and there are lots of leftovers in the morning that you can have for breakfast. The Long Patrol, who has visited here several times in the past, especially recommends the blackberry scones" Stripetail said with a smile.

"Hayden, close your mouth and stop drooling like a dog," Garrick laughed, tappign his brother under the chin. The older wolf grinned, "Whatever is on the menu, I'm looking foward to it."

"So do I." Sek-Raktaa agreed. "Shall we?" He asked, looking at the others and leading the way towards the great hall.

The great Hall was a hive of activity as the abbey prepared for dinner. already on the main table were great mounds of scones, fish, tarts, and pies. On the right side there were pastries, leek and cheese. drink was also plentful, tonight's special was a blueberry ale from the abbey cellars. The different aromas and smells were tempting and inviting. A yound mousemaid came up to Sek and the others . "Come this way please. Your seats have been set out for you" she said.

The wolves followed like lambs, stricken by the overwhelming aray. As they took thier seats, hayden reached for a scone and downed it in barely two bites. Garrick chidded him silently, lookign around. Unsure whether everybeast should start eating. He eyed one of teh scones himself.

"Well, this certainly looks delicious." Sek-Raktaa commented as he seated himself. He licked his lips in anticipation at the meal, though he was unsure whether or not to wait for the rest or to simply start eating. Besides, there was a still a question which he needed to have an answer to. "Excuse me, do you also have some meat here?" He asked the mousemaid which had guided them politely.

I think we do... sometimes we have visitors who like meat, so we store up a small store of it. We abbey dwellers don't eat meat... so we should have some. Wait there, I'll go check" The muse replied. _ "Manners, Haydn " stripetail reproached him. "You may fill your plate, but you may not eat until others have filled thiers plates and sat down."

Hayden shrank slightly, but Garrick thumped him on the back. "C'mon, let's get busy filling our plates then.." The two brothers took up their dishes and started plucking scones from clothe covered baskets and dishing out sthingyfuls of salads and coblers, and before long the plates were full, but the wolves were at a loss: they wanted to try every thing.

"Great." Sek-Raktaa replied as he watched the mousemaid leave. He grinned, crossed his arms in front of his chest and waited patiently for her return. He was kind of happy that the abbey dwellers were nice enough to have some extra meat in store for carnivore visitors. They certainly seemed to be a pretty nice bunch of beasts.

Stripetail chuckledf at the ravenous wolves. "Don't worry, you'll get a chance to sample everything, in great quantities no less..You'll be barely able to move once you are done eating.." He laughed.

Within fifteen minutes nearly everyone had seated themselves, full plates in tow. "Stripetail smiled. 'NOW, you may eat" He said, quivering with merriment.

The two wolves began eating. At first they tried to be neat about it, but by the time they were a few minutes into it, they were eating with paws as well as sthingy and forks and they were holding loud, merry conversation with the creatures all around them. Garrick spoke with his mouth full of tart. He had a smudge of fresh cream on his chin, as he smiled. "Who needs meat when you have all of this?"

Stripetail shook his head at their manners, they were stuffing thenselves to the nines with food and drink.. "You guys haven't eaten well in awhile haven't you?' He smirked as Haydn and Garrick took breathers. Haydn was on his fifteenth plate of food, Garrick on his sixteenth..

Haydn shook his head, his eyes still hungry. "Stripetail, when on our trip did we ever eat well?" The wolf reached for another tart. Garrick on the other hand, smiled wolfishly. "I've been living here, at the abby for the last few months," he said... "I simply have a healthy appitite..."
