"Werks for me mate." Redstripe yawned and laid back down,"Night lads." he fell asleep, his deep rumbling snore quickly filling the night air.

Stripetail shook his head as the loud deep sounds of the snoring REdstripe filled the air. "He still is the loudest snorer I've ever heard" he said to himself, looking into the flames. He looked over at the other members of the group, then out into the mouth of the nearby cave "we're going in there tommorow, I wonder what we'll find.. trouble, most likely":

As the various beasts were deciding to drift off, and Redstripe's snore began to rip the air apart like some sort of battleaxe, a small, furtive looking fox came into view of the flickering firelight.
She seemed to slink about, trying to be un-noticed, but in the dark night, her white fur caught the light of the fire and reflected her outline brightly to the eyes of all observers.
She slipped into place next to Stripetail, whom she seemed to think was the most likely candidate to talk to her without discrimination or remarks about why she had her left paw hidden behind her back as she sat.
"Deirk cawld night, isn't it, friend?" she asked, her cool voice sharp and proper, pronouncing every single 't', with an Irish or Scouse accent - it wasn't quite easy to tell. Perhaps a mixture of both - she seemed to flit between the two.
"Whit is this... littl' expedition about? Odd mix'ure of beasts 'ereabout."

Stripetail turned to the fox. "Its a trasure hunt. If you wish to join, you'll get an equal share. this treasure, or so I've been told, is immense enough that even a small part of it will be enough, for any beast who finds it, for that beast to be financially set for life." He looked at this newcomer who kept holding her left paw behind her back. "with you, that brings the number of us here up to 6. What is your name, good fox?"

She considered, then shimmyed over, close to the fire. "Ah, I'll come with ye, but I doan't really need any.. ah.. treasure." She rolled her 'r's elequently, and the usual flicker in a vermin's eyes when treasure was mentioned was absent. Yet, she smiled.
"I do, however, need.. company, if ye will." Firelight played off of her fangs, and made her white fur look pink. "Me name, good sirrah, is Shatterpaw. Shatterpaw Silvertail." Her tail flicked behind her and she took in her surroundings.
When she saw the wolf, she paused, her eyes narrowing. Canine kindred. She considered him gravely, then turned back to Stripetail. "I'd be glad to join ye, not for th' treasure, nay, per'aps I'll take some trinket, but my share, ye kin all share it amongst yerselves."
She yawned, not realizing that in the simple act of stretching her paws above her head, she brought her broken, twisted left paw into view. Still oblivious to her action, she sighed and curled up, twisting her tail around her nose.
"Well. If we'll head out in th' marnin, I suppose we should get a bit of kip now, shan't we. If ye'd like to talk, go a'ead. I won' be asleep for a fair bit yet."
Each crisply pronounced syllable cut the brisk night air like the pop of the embers, and Stripetail, perhaps, could sense the longing for companionship in the fox's calming voice.

"Lord Stripetail, at your service." Stripetail replied. He had noticed the injured and disfigured paw, but he would act for now, as if he did not. "You can take whatever share you wish, you can take as much as a full sixth, or as little as a chest full of trinkets. " He gave the young vixen a good looking over. she was maybe 18 seasons of age, he guessed, maybe a buit younger. Stripetail, being a seer was a keen reader of creatures. this one was at heart a kind caring soul, a sweep over the vixen's attire showed a few pouches that most likely were filled with some ppotion of some kind. a healer as well. He gripped his staff in his paw. "I can be your friend, if you so wish." This caused the vixen to lift up her tail slightly, one eye gazing at him. "I can be a great friend, Shatterpaw... if you give me the chance"

Zykoryth groaned after having smashed his head against the ceiling for the umpteenth time, adn was quite ready to rest for the time being. The only problem was that he could not find a suitable spot to do so. Finally, he noticed a light ahead of him, and smelt smoke, which would mean a fire. Which also might mean unfriendly beasts. The small white fox pushed himself against the wall and peered out, being careful not to be seen.
(Ooc: I am making the assumption that everyone is in a cave, as I have not had time to check the rest of the thread, and won't until later today. n.n;)

Wayra couldn't keep his mouth from quirking up just the slightest as he gave a small grin. He kept his eyes closed as he remarked, "A beast from the north, now? Hmm, I wonder who else might show up before this night is done." He tilted his head over to the fox. "Hello, Shatterpaw. I notice you've met the seer."

Zykoryth blinked, his eyes glittering from the firelight. Some of the beasts in front of him looked familiar, but he wasn't too sure about them, and wasn't about to take a chance unless he had to.

Stripetail turned at a sound and noticed Zykoryth. "Well, well, it seems our paths cross again Zykoryth. The fates do have a sense of humor..' He chuckled at the fox. "PLease have a seat. Our party is now up to 7. Two foxes, two squirells, a badger, a stoat, and a wolf. Each brings their own unique talents to the group, so no one is more important than the others."

Zykoryth, blinked, recognition showing on his face. "Greetings, Stripetail." The snow white fox sat down, glancing around to see the other members of the party. "I take it there is a quest in mind, am I not correct?"
