Wayra did so, placing a torch on the left of the path, then for extra emphesis, drew a line right infront of the tripwire as a warning. "Right.. deeper and deeper we go.. Let's hope it's not to our deaths, Seer.."

Lets hope not..' stripetail agreed. "If fate takes us, well, I've lived longer than most..." He said, as Wayra came by with a torc to light their way. "Lead the way, Wayra, and watch your step.."

(OOC: Just thought I would join in.)
Meanwhile, a young fox and a badger were stalking the group.
"Are sure this is a good idea, Aiolos" the badger asked.
"Nice of ye to ask, Parnell.
We need some answers as to where the traps are in this mine as well as the location of this 'treasure' that everyone speaks of" the fox, named Aiolos, explained
The badger, Parnell, was still a bit skeptical but Aiolos assured her.
"We're treasure hunters right? This kind of stuff is normal for us"
"Yes, but we're also vigilantes, wanted vigilantes at that. And they could turn us in, ye of all people should know that" Parnell emphasized the last sentance.
"Ye never know until ye find out" Aiolos said before sneaking up behind the group of travelers, what an odd bunch Aiolos thought as he drew his dagger and held it to the seer's back.
"Good den, my lord, I have questions to ask and it would be best if you answered them" Aiolos whispered into Striptail's ear.

A piece of advice my young friend. NEVER hold up a seer'Stripetail griowled and in a flash Ailos' dagger flew out of his paw and landed on the far side of therunnel, it cluttered to a stop some distance away.. Stripetail turned and pointed his staff at alios. " I have a few questions to askmyself , my young fox and it is best if YOU abnswered them..Why are you here, for starters?' Stripetail's staff glowled brightly, revealing the lines on the squirell's face as it narrowed in irritance..

Aiolios quickly drew his sword as Parnell rushed out to join him,axe in hand.
"To answer your question, we are here searching for the fabled treasure of this mine, same as ye" Aiolos spoke.

Well, the thing is, we don';t know where the traps are either, we are just as blind as you are.." Stripetail said. " Put your weapons away you two, they are useless against my magic.Since you are also searching for the treasure, we might as well have you join in our little group here, and carve out eqaul shares of the treasure for yourselves. What you did in your lives up to this point, matters not to me.what matters is what you do fromnow on.

Stripetail's staff lit the path in front of them, which was uneven at time, and which moved back and forth the deeper it went. With the newcomers, the group numbered near 10, and if things went well, each would get a cut of the treasure, assuming they found it of course. ' Your names, my good beasts, if you would be so kind. It is custom to know who one is traveling with, after all.' stripetail said glancing first at Aiolos, then Parnell

The fox's muzzle curled into a smirk.
"Aiolos Quickfeet." He sheathed his saber with a flourish before taking a few steps to the end of the rocky tunnel in order to retrieve his dagger before storing it away as well.
The Badger maid lowered her axe to her side. "Parnell Brigh,of the Southern Isles, my seer." She wiped a bit of grime off of the dress beneath her cloak.
"And you would be...?" The fox sniffed the seer, but the scent wasn't a familiar one to him in the slightest.

Lord Stripetail, at your service." Stripetail replied before turning to Parnell "What brings you all the way from the Southern Isles, Lady Parnell? I have been to the southern isles on a few occasions, it is a long journey from there to nearly anywhere else on this side of the great oceans." Stripetail said. " you say you are seeking the treasure hiden here, if i may be bold, how precisely, did you come to learn of this treasure?"

"To put it simply, this fox..." The badger maid motioned a paw towards Aiolos, who let his bushy red tail swish absentmindedly. "...and his obsession with a certain treasure which is said to be in this mine." She let her single-bit axe rest over her shoulder.
"The Treasure Beneath." A smirk spread across the fox's muzzle, his eyes alight. "It isn't known how any of it ended up here in this decrepit place, assuming it ever left."

"it must be a grand treasure indeed, to bring you all the way here. then again, it is also what has drawn our little group together -the promise of adventure and wealth. We do not know what we will find below, save that the treasure will be guarded by traps, and other devices" Stripetail said> ' the tales say that this mine is filed with spirits as well, from cave-ins and other accidents, and likely as not, a few of them sought the treasure themselves, and died in the attempt. One hopes, of course, that we re more successful.
