Ladorak nodded, and replied. "I think I'd like to see your chambers, yes." But first, they had a visit to the Abbess to make. Ladorak was led to a rather large door, within which lay the Abbess, or so he had been told.
He greeted her as she greeted him. "Yes, so I hear. I'm here to help out.. and also to visit old friends. There was another who was in charge during my previous sojourn here, I'm sorry to say, but you seem no less worthy of the title." he complimented.

Yes Abbot Dorral was our former abbot he passed into dark Forest six seasons ago. I just hope to be half the leader he was. So I take it you've met the resident seer. I'd Fancy him if he were only a few hundred seasons younger.. ' She laughed " auch! he'll probably outlive us all, even if he seems ancient, theres something about him that makes it seems as if he still has many may seasons to go yet.

After being let in Redstripe had made way for his quarters upstairs, wanting to take off his heavy armor and change into his lighter more comfortable tunic. With a heavy sigh he put on his spectacles, letting them rest lightly on his face and adjusted them till his vision had cleared up and he could see properly. He headed down the stairs to the main hall and sat down in the corner where his old chair was.

"Yes. I really enjoyed his company." the stoat said, nodding at her words. He suppressed a smile as she talked about the current seer. "Yes... I've never quite met someone as ancient as he. Perhaps your words will ring true. I hope to make my legacy last through my deeds, though granted, that is a rather tall order." he explained.
"Well, thank you again for letting me visit. It will be a stay worth remembering, I'm sure. I suppose I should go help fix up the beds upstairs." He suggested, looking from her to Stripetail.

The stoat nodded, and told her it was no problem. "I'll take care of those. Now then, I suppose getting into the seer's room has already been taken care of. You may lead the way, Lord Stripetail." he told the squirrel. "It was a pleasure to meet you, Abbess."

"I shall do so." Ladorak stated. "I've climbed up ratlines before, so I think I can handle steep stairs." the stoat joked warmly. "I'm sure these stairs have nothing on the shrouds of a ship after all."

Just the Same Stripetail said as they began climbing it ' watch your step it can get pretty dark in these staircases. there are very few who use the third floor besides myself, and at night it takes on another tenor. of course there are ghosts in this world, and this abbey has its share..i do not fear them of course, they are merely shadows watching the living..

"I don't think I fear ghosts myself. They're merely shades as you said, and the ones that dwell here would not be malevolent." he carefully made his way up the steps, and knew he wasn't in any danger of falling. They weren't too bad. Narrow and dark, yes, but not too bad.

"Well yes, I suppose she would. She was rather fierce. Ahem... I uh... don't suppose you know who I'm descended from, do you?" he asked, growing a little nervous now, as he was afraid Stripetail might not take kindly to this.

Yes i do, and it does not change my opinion of you ladorak.you can speak his name to me , it does not stain you or condemn you in my eyes. Stripetail replied as they rounded another stairs the staff he held in his paw seemed to be glowing as the steps in front of them and behind them were visible yet up here there were no torches.

"Hmmm... well I'm glad you think so. For I am Badrang's descendant. He begot Silver, the Stoat, who eventually begot a more honorable ancestor of mine. I'm sorry to have to announce this, but I figured if you're OK with it, it may as well be out in the open."

' she is never seen in the same spot twice..
